The entire comic has been split in easy to read daily segments, each of which will get a discussion thread at 2PM EST every day, from today to April 13th. That’s all of the menu information for now, I will talk more in detail about some of the undisclosed matters in the next post.A: We'll read and discuss the entire comic as a group, from the beginning to its end, including the Homestuck Epilogues. Every time you combine objects to make a new one, this menu will show you what exactly you combined to create the object, that way you know what to use if you ever need to create it again in the future. For example: Using a completely blank totem will result in the Atheneum having a perfectly generic object available to buy for two build grist.Īlchemy Excursus: The last item on the top menu is a handy tool used for logging all of the items you have combined (also known as ‘alchemized’) using the Alchemiter, another object to talk about at a later date. After you create different kinds of Totems with the Lathe, the objects the Totems can create will appear in the Atheneum, and you can duplicate these objects for a specified amount of grist. We will talk about what grist is and how you use it in a later discussion.Įxplore Atheneum: This tool allows you to re-create any objects you create using a Totem Lathe, something we will discuss later. Grist Cache: The grist cache is the next button, and can use it to view the accumulated amount of different types of grist that your client player has. You should then be able to drag it and drop it into whatever place you like, providing the object fits. To place them, open the Registry and then click deploy, and then click on the item you want. We will talk more about these objects later, as they are very important to the game. Some of these objects are free, but you will not have access to others until your fellow teammates link up with you and your client player as well. When you click on it, a list of a few key objects for the game will come up. Phernalia Registry: The next button on our list is a mini-menu. You will need this tool after your client player has entered the Medium as well, another topic for a later time.ĭeploy: Deploy is used to place objects from the Phernalia Registry into whatever space you want to fit them in. This tool will be useful for when you do not have enough space to deploy an object. You can use this tool to make rooms bigger, build stairs and platforms, and any other things you can think of along that vein. Revise lets you edit existing objects at the cost of build grist, which we will talk about later. Revise: The next tool we will talk about is Revise. This tool is what lets you move things around. This is how you’ll ‘grab’ things, essentially. Select: This first option allows you to select an object or object using a click and drag method. Starting from the top bar on the left, we have: Let’s do a quick run down of all the tool options on the menu. The top menu bar is what allows you to move objects, place new ones, and gain access to other things for your client player in Sburb. This is the viewpoint of a server player. When you do so, you can help them by moving around objects, and giving them needed equipment from this menu: During the beginning of the game you will need to use your server disc to link up to the next person in line on your team. These players are your teammates, or co-players. While the client disc lets you play the game in a first person-mode, the Server disc is what connects you to other players in the game.

You will most likely install this disc directly after you install your client disc. This is the disc that activates you as the one who is playing sburb, and then gives you the opportunity to have what we will talk about next: A server player.Īs I said about the client disc, the server disc is also a necessity to play the game. The client disc is the disc that enables you to play the game as a ‘character’, in a way. This is most likely the first of the two discs that you will install. Unless you plan on playing completely on your own (which I do not reccommend as there is almost 0% chance of you winning alone) you will need to install both. There are two discs you will need, the Sever disc, and the Client disc. Now that you know what Sburb is, if you still decide to play the game, you’re going to need some game discs.
